Nuevo Vallarta

Take a day trip to Nuevo Vallarta; Puerto Vallarta’s sister resort area. Nuevo Vallarta is located about 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta’s International airport and many tourists visit from the USA and Canada because of it’s personal charm.

There are more than 3 miles of gorgeous sandy beaches in Nuevo Vallarta. The beach is one of the best in the Banderas Bay area and is great for families and offers water sports and relaxation.

Nuevo Vallarta is close to Puerto Vallarta, but far enough away to notice the plush jungle flora and wide, fresh, clean beach.

This area has a few shopping centers and malls, two championship golf courses, tennis clubs, a zoo, a dolphin aquarium, International cuisine restaurants, and two fully equipped marinas, Marina Norte and Marina Paradise.

Marina Paradise offers more than 300 spaces for boats. The fully equipped pier provides all the services such as; bathrooms, electricity, drinking water, radio communication, weather forecasts and more!

Some investors consider this area to be one of the best upcoming tourist destinations in Mexico due to the huge development potential. Nuevo Vallarta has many waterfront homes and 6 miles of channels to navigate.

Puerto Vallarta is extending north towards Nuevo Vallarta because there is more than enough land to develop some large projects.

One of the major attractions of Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico is now a National Park called the Marieta Islands. This is one of the most important wildlife sanctuaries in Mexico’s Pacific coast formed long ago by volcanic activity. The archipelago are two formations of uninhabited islands– long island and round island… which are dominated by large cliffs and caves that protect the coral reef and beautiful tropical fish. Divers and snorkelers love this attraction.

Marieta Islands are also known as “the Mexican Galapagos”. This is home to several endangered bird species such as the Blue- Footed Boobie which can only be found on the Islands of the Sea of Cortez and the Galapagos Islands.

You will also see humpback whales in this area every year between December and March. These marine giants, coming from the Antarctic cold seas, swarm into the warm waters of the Marieta Islands where they give birth to their calves, thus providing, without even being aware of it, one of the most impressive natural shows of the planet.

As you can see, Nuevo Vallarta is a great place to take a day trip during your vacation to Puerto Vallarta. Check this link for things to do in Nuevo Vallarta: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g154267-Activities-Nuevo_Vallarta_Pacific_Coast.html
